There are programs/apps to get around that. Might have to pay for them though.

Do you have any names? We were paying a butt ton for the extra cable channels and the boss told me she wanted to get the basic package. I went to watch the game the other day and the channel was gone. I watch boxing on ESPN and the Orioles on MASN, now MASN

If you still live in the area, you'll need a workaround (if you live elsewhere, you can watch the O's no problem on there). There are streaming sites or apps to confuse mlb.tv into thinking you live elsewhere.

Blacking out the local market is how teams keep their cable contracts so lucrative (keeping Comcast, et al happy is also why they don't stream on their websites). Live sports are the only reason I haven't cut the cable cord, since it's the only thing I watch on television.

MASN is on some of the basic cable packages though. Just find the cheapest one that keeps it.

For the amount of content? Hell yes. It's about as much as fightpass yearly (if you buy it at the start of the season) and it gives you everything but post season (though since I'm foreign I get postseason and world series aswell).

It's cheap now and a tip is if you dont wanna cough up the 130 at the start of the regular season, wait for fathers day which is about 1/3 into the season, on that day they go 50% off for a few days.

Thanks everybody. I think it’s stupid that you pay $120 and can’t watch your local team. I’ve used work around programs for other things like to watch Doctor Who out of the U.K. but I’m not sure if I want to do that every day plus paying. I got the MLB at bat app last night for $10 and it looks like I can at least listen to my team now (I could be wrong, I won’t know until 10:00pm tonight) I’m at work right now trying to listen to the all-star game archive but the audio has been “loading” for the last 15 minutes. Not a good sign so far.
