<Huh2>

Remember when I was told this kinda stuff was just the UK submitting to the ultimate cuckdom and this would never happen in the Land of the Brave where Free Speech is enshrined in the constitution and whatever other potshots were taken after the age verification laws surrounding porn and possibly some other sites like Wiki?

What's going on guys? Time to rein in Mississippi, or is this actually the future for you guys as well? Genuine question, as I'm not sure this will fly, at least if the country isn't all talk, no trousers.

Bluesky made that decision themselves. Others social media sites will make it work. Bluesky, with their very niche user base, likely has negligible traffic in Mississippi that would make building an age verification structure for that state juice that isn’t worth the squeeze.

I didn’t know people thought age verification for sites that can very easily bombard minors with porn with a slight trip of an algorithm was considered cuckery. I wasn’t in that thread but I think it’s common sense for such sites to have age verfication.

On Facebook I clicked on an ad for a herbal/testosterone pill or something that said it gives more energy among other things. Turned out it was basically a dick pill. So I moved on.

Next thing I know my feed is straight plastered with hardcore porn. Shit I had no clue was even allowed on Facebook. It took a couple days of clicking “not interested” to finally get that shit off my feed.

X is the same way, but even worse with violence and hardcore porn.

They need age verification.

Facebook, X, BlueSky, Reddit, Wikipedia, you can encounter extremely graphic content on all of these sites, either on purpose or by mistake.

There are people on this forum who consider age verification requirements for pornography as cuckery. I'm not saying they thought it through, but the claims are out there, my dude. That's why I'm thinking a lot of it will ultimately turn out to be fake outrage in an attempt to "attack" the UK lol

You can see some of the dumb shittery on this thread.

EDIT: Didn't mean to highlight @lsa's post on that thread, lol, just how I found it via the search option

Hasnt this also happened with porn sites? I guess i dont understand why it matters.

Gee, I wonder why bluesky would rather not operate in the state than verify users' age.

However, along with its new users, earlier this month, BlueSky reported a surge in spam, scams, and “trolling activity,” alongside a troubling rise in child sexual abuse material.

In the past 24 hours, we have received more than 42,000 reports (an all-time high for one day). We’re receiving about 3,000 reports/hour. To put that into context, in all of 2023, we received 360k reports,” BlueSky said.

Creating the national digital online verified profile under the guise of public safety is the next step towards digital currency and social credit scores.

I appreciate your consistency.

How?

- Man. I hionestly have heard about this social media. But didnt knew they had any power. I assumed was just like Rumble. but i am old, so i am out of the loop.

Bluesky should stop hosting child pornography instead of throwing a tantrum over age verification.
