"Listen, five of the biggest UFC fighters combined can’t match my pay."

Top 5 Mike Tyson career payouts vs UFC’s richest paydays ever

For Mike Tyson, his biggest paydays came against Lewis ($103 million), Evander Holyfield I ($30 million), Evander Holyfield II ($30 million), Frank Bruno II ($30 million), and Bruce Seldon ($30 million). On the other side of the combat sports pond, Conor McGregor’s disclosed purse is $6.8 million at UFC 205 against Eddie Alvarez. Ronda Rousey, the highest-paid female fighter, earned about $5.6 million at UFC 207, while Georges St-Pierre ($4.31 million UFC 129), Jon Jones ($3.64 million UFC 182), and Anderson Silva ($4.37 million UFC 168) each peaked near $4 million per fight. Even combined, the UFC’s richest nights can’t match Tyson’s record-breaking paydays—proof that ‘Iron Mike’ reigned supreme not just in the ring, but also in the world of fight purses.

Plus, how much would that be in today's numbers?

Male ufc fighters make less than female pro golfers

Many ufc fighters barely make more than badminton or ping pong players

According to inflation calculator, $103 million in 2002 when Tyson fought Lewis would be worth $185 million today.

It's crazy how much money people making from hittin each other while dudes making inventions that elevate our species into new era's ain't making jack compared to that lul. Also. who gives a shit about how much money people make. Are u fighting and gonna follow in those steps? Does how much money they make change your life in any way, shape, or form?

Conor still hasn’t spiralled as hard as Mike did though
He seems to be somewhat good with his money
Maybe soon

Conor has likely committed way, way more "you know what's" than Mike did (0 I hope)

I think Conor could have well been in way more trouble than he already has, a few times over.

He'll goof up severely, sooner or later. Still a fan lol
Not as a person, the FW-Eddie run I mean

Canelo got 150 ml for last fight, more than entire UFC roster combined.
I really can't understand why there is so big gap between boxing and MMA.

Tyson's purse for the Lewis fight was 17.5m

he isnt getting anywhere near that figure even with PPV buys, people just plucking figures out of thin air and taking it as gospel

According to listed payouts, Brock had the biggest 1 off fight purse (2.5M purse, 8M after all said and done) vs. Mark Hunt at UFC 200

And that was in 2016, arguably a peak year in terms of exposure and fan interest. And it was roughly half of Mike's purse against Lewis 14 years earlier, at best.

The pay discrepancy may be a bit overstated, but it's definitely a real variable

Tyson was more well-known worldwide than the UFC currently is.

Mike vs Jake did 100 million plus views on Netflix, he is worth the money, Canelo best was 40 million.

The amount of people that have fucked Iron Mike over in his life, I'm surprised he hasn't murdered anyone. Conor doesn't have the same nightmare childhood that Mike had, so I guess the Clown's just a shitstain by default.

If only Mike Tyson had another 4 or 5 years under Cus D'Amato as a pro. Kid Dynamite and Iron Mike were excellent boxers, but once King got his hooks in, it was all downhill.

Laugh at comparing one of the most famous people of our time to cage fighters...

The shot of Mike in assless black chaps in his dressing room was worth the 100 million alone!

Mike was famous on a level of Michael Jackson, Elvis, the Beatles

Go anywhere on earth and literally everyone knows you

When he fought it wasn't just the boxing community watching.
It was the whole world.
From little kids in grade school to adults... everyone
thats what EVERYONE on the planet was talking about

Conor himself said he made $50 million for the Khabib fight, which is the only one that did Mike Tyson PPV numbers

Tyson's numbers are also before Don King jacked half of it. Promoter's cut is baked into UFC pay, and if I'm not mistaken, Tyson's was publishing the high number first and the promoter's cut was taken after.
