Media Mighty mouse goes OFF on fans criticizing Khamzats performance

Probably hits a nerve haha, lets be honest.

Most fans never wrestled and never rolled; they don't care for grapple heavy fights with minimal damage. There's a reason wrestling and BJJ are fringe sports, most people don't find it particularly entertaining, especially at the professional level.

There's a reason people loved Conor and they champion Ilia, those guys throw hands. At the end of the day, it all goes back to throwing hands and doing damage. If you're not throwing hands you better deal some damage.

Khamzat put in the minimum effort needed to avoid getting stood up by the ref. It was safe and smart. It was also incredibly low effort because DDP put no effort at all into takedown defense, attacking from the bottom, or getting back to his feet.

Still, Khamzat gassed noticeably by the end of the fight. Not badly enough to get finished, but badly enough to start missing some takedowns and to get generally sloppy. It was enough to indicate that Khamzat has the gas tank problems he's always been suspected of having and that if he doesn't get the quick finish he's going to struggle against talented opponents who push the pace a bit.

In spite of much conjecture to the contrary, sheep cannot speak, or type. The odds that you're talking to an actual sheep are less than 5%.

Great post, people in general will never appreciate the grappling part of the game as much as the striking. It's just human nature, people want action like in the old days with Gladiators. People want to see blood or death.

I updated my browser and use this new AI generated filter to only see what I want. It’s pretty easy to use, you just update the app and press alt and f4. The AI already has your soul stored somewhere on a floppy drive I’m guessing.

No idiot, i just agree with their nuanced take, i love mma and all its disciplines, not just the striking. You just aint that seasoned yet.

DJ is the king of bad MMA takes which is surprising considering he’s one of the best to ever do it.

Call me a casual if you want but laying on a guy for 5 rounds, not trying to advance position, do damage or get a submission is awful and we have every right to call out that performance.

That being said, DDP lost in one of the worst champ performances ever.

If only there were sports that were only about throwing hands and damage and didn't allow any grappling. All of these MMA "fans" would then have something more entertaining for them that caters to what they prefer to see.

Exciting grappling = good
Boring grappling = bad

No idiot, i just agree with their nuanced take over a fuckin noob cashew like you
I didn't find last night's fight boring, you're merely assuming. Did you find Ngannou vs Lewis boring? Very curious to hear your response to that one.

I watched the fight at a house party, not a single person though the fight was boring, mostly casuals. Blows my mind how on sherdog, a forum of people who have been watching the sport for years still have no fucking idea what they are watching. Everyone complaining about this fight is actually retarded.

Khamzat has shown why people DO appreciate grappling and do not. Anyone that just charges forward and gets a finish is awesome. However dragging it out for 5 rounds isn't as fun. But I had fun watching DDP fans desperately jump off the hype train, they will probably land on RDR or Caio.

This guy is getting so full of himself. I like how almost a decade after he stopped fighting legit competition, which still was the weakest competition in all of MMA, heavyweight combined, his stock keeps going up and up and up.

If you have been around here during his actual run, you'd know that he didn't have one tenth the amount of adoration or respect or love or whatever it is as one of the greatest fighters of all time that he's getting now. If we have a poll, he'd have at like less than 5 percent vote on a good day back then. Even fighters, out of guys who's talking him up now, I'm not sure how many out of them actually watched his fights live, not just highlights, because he does have some good ones.

With that said, this guy is a wrestler at heart. And he robbed Miguel Torres blind too.

That was a boring performance. Very impressive, but pretty boring, but because the fight itself was compelling, it probably lessens it for some. I can see that.

But to run his mouth like he's some pope preaching to faithful about what we should find exciting or not, get out of here.

Yeah I like MM but he definitely comes across like a pompous prick sometimes, I pointed it out earlier in another thread but later in his video even he states the fight wasn't that exciting so basically contradicting himself, I think because he himself was accused of being boring at times he takes it a little personal and that shows in the video.
