Seriously, that was one of the worst 'fights' I have ever seen. I thought he was supposed to be Bellator's Anderson Silva but when all eyes were on him all he did was dance for 15 minutes. It was also the first time I've ever seen a Ref step in and warn a fighter for stalling.

Rory destroys this can crusher.

That fight sucked.

MVP can be entertaining but he needs someone who wants to fight, like most counter strikers* , if the opponent just stands there or stays out of reach and doesn't attack it can be a VERY boring affair.

* see Anderson Silva, Lyoto Machida

You're right.

Anderson Silva never danced for entire 25 minute championship fights and then apologized in public for it.

He also finished all the low tiers he fought, like Takase and Chonan.

A lot of people look like world beaters in the lower leagues, very few can replicate their form at the top.

Page is indeed hype but mostly delivers, I do think he should stop ducking the MW division. He's fucking 6'3" and fights welterweights who are way shorter.

This is why Conor / Fedor style is better than Anderson / MVP style.

Anderson / MVP are fantastic counter fighters

but they need opponents to press the action.

Conor & Fedor are pressuring counter fighters.

So much hype that none of the casuals can post about him in the correct forum

MVP has never fought legitimate competition and just struggled against a total can. Make of that what you will.

He is not all hype, I think his stand up is better than Wonderboy's and he also has a decent ground game. However, I doubt he can continue fighting hands down against elite UFC competition and he definitely can't stop the elite grapplers in the UFC.

Like @jeff7b9 mentioned,

Like many other counterstrikes he needs a dance partner to be aggressive to really shine.

Conor is better than Silva and Machida because he can fight going backward and he can fight going forward

Anderson Silva never danced for entire fights for which he had later to apologize in public.

When Anderson was dancing it was to show that he can beat the guys they were putting in front of him without even fighting.

People blame Anderson for those two fights being boring but they dont blame Leites and Maia for being like two fucken deer caught in headlights and not being able to touch him. In the end people just wanted to bitch about Anderson, 15 of his UFC fights were holywood movie endings, and the haters find the two that went to decision to cry abut.

Anderson = GOAT.

Don't compare Conor to Fedor in
any way you fuckin turd steak.

(Thanks @Cclick for the insult)

OT: Yeah, Page was a disappointment
last night. Bellator can't expect dudes
to get paid shit & go in there & attempt
to lay it all on the line against a dude
who crushes faces. They need to give
MVP the step up against someone like
Daley & let the chips fall where they may.

Imo, that's his best, most entertaining
break through match up. Misaki tooled
Daley on the feet. No reason Page
couldn't do the same.

not all hype. But pure counterstrikers look like idiots when people don't engage them

Agreed. He showed he could beat Weidman by dancing.
