I'd like to dedicate this thread volume and my own current run of no-homo asceticism to the recently Sherdog departed @Papi Chulo. If someone (@Contra-dictator, @Hognoxious) could get the message over and linked I would appreciate it.

Also, for all the fellow dads on SD:

I have no doubt Republicans have their share of gay people but these articles strike me exaggerated or just plain lies to milk the same old cliche

Okay, let's get serious. <45>

I'd probably be inclined to agree if I was on the outside looking in, but I know a little too much. I literally occupy the underground subculture and space these people operate in (when I don't have my kids with me) -- the dudes fly very directly onto my radar, my line of sight, my circles, my DM boxes. It isn't just the Republican party or its elected officials and their twink staffers, I mean right-wingers in general (including folkish pagans, fascists, white nationalists, neo-nazis). You know, not every "gay person" is into making a circus act spectacle of themselves in public. There is no innate political lean attached to this particular trait (zero) and people truly wouldn't and don't have the first clue when we cross paths in person, which is generally preferred.

I figured as much. It makes me wonder why more of you don't speak out against all these outspoken :eek::eek::eek::eek:philes, groomers and mentally ill people who are tarnishing your image.

They're out there. Plenty of conservative LGBT people but it's not as obvious because they don't make a scene about themselves being gay, lesbian, etc.

I linked this in the transgender thread earlier. It's a drag queen who disagrees with drag queen story time and parents bringing kids to drag queen shows. Good on this drag queen for having common sense:

Wtf?

Do you believe right-wing "gay people" aren't a thing or something? I'm not just randomly broaching this out of nowhere. This weekend, the Texas GOP blocked a gay conservative group that has been around since 1977 from attending its convention, essentially stating that what people get up to in their private sex life is more important than every single other political issue...combined. How's that for identity politics?

{<jordan}

And it doesn't matter if they're in agreement on 99% of the other, you know, actual political issues. I just have to laugh pretty hard at that, particularly given how many closeted homos occupy their own ranks and moreover how many exist across a far broader right-wing spectrum than the goofy ass Republican party in America, which is little more than a racket whose primary objective is facilitating the upward redistribution of wealth. They're slightly better on the local and state level.
