I hope you're right, but both of these fights scream "WE THE UFC ARE TRYING TO GIVE THESE GUYS THE BEST MATCHUPS POSSIBLE TO STAY HYPED" and rodriguez doesn't have the wrestling to stop him.

yeah I’m big on Pearce and at first glance thought the same thing

but

Rodrigues has given up takedowns in all 3 ufc fights for a total of 10’ takedowns in his 3 ufc fights …. And to lesser wrestlers then rosas

rosas isn’t gunna stand and trade …. He’ll shoot immediately and should get the takedowns no problem

GM3 has a nasty, nasty submission game and is always dangerous. Not the most durable guy in the world but he's a tough matchup for a guy like Pyfer, at least on paper.

I get the impression Pyfer watched Khamzat waffle GM3 with ease and figured "I punch hard".

I think he loses this fight all day long.

Pyfer is nowhere near Gerald's level.

Bingo. I actually think Gerald makes it look fairly easy, after a rough minute or two. Submission, 1st or 2nd round. Pyfer really isn't that good.
