Does anyone have any experience using the mClassic upscaler? I had never heard of it until coming across it as a Cyber Monday sale item yesterday. After reading a little bit about it and watching a few videos on YouTube as I understand it the idea is that it does post-processing on the frames generated by a lower end machine like a Switch or say a PS3 or Xbox 360 and then upscales them as well as does antialiasing, among other features.

I was wondering if maybe it would work for upscaling backwards compatible og Xbox or 360 games running on my Series X, specifically older games that have not already received any improvements like “enhanced for One X” or “fps boost” or “resolution boost”. I also have a Switch, and a PS3 so if this thing works as advertised I could maybe get some use out of it on those systems.

Has anyone ever used one? Thoughts?

I know there's been a couple of versions of it so far and they were around $100+ at one point. They were very popular for the Switch and retro stuff unless it was a 240p signal then you needed something like an OSSC or a framemeister aswell

You can get business grade upscalers for a much better bang for your buck prices (especially used). The dongles have a small form factor but just don't have the level of tech in them that ones from companies like Extron, Crestron, Kramer, and Gefen use. They aren't console specialty upscalers so may not have an anti-aliasing feature, but the actual upscaling is much more precise and they have a lot of other control options.

This looks like a solid (and much cheaper) alternative to the Retrotink 4k.

Can you actually or are you just “taking the piss” as the British would say? The Vince emoji is throwing me off so I can’t tell if you’re just being funny.
You can. The mClassic has AA but only goes up to 1440p. The Gamer Pro goes up to 4k but doesn't do AA. Plug the GP into the Switch and then the mClassic into the GP.
