Match up the top LW's assuming...

That the Conor x Porier fight is for the title. You guys know Pink Goof can't wait to wrap another title around Conor's waist, so I don't really see a situation where this doesn't happen. That said, lots of Sherbros aren't ready to accept this, be it due to blind hate (for Conman) or whatever other reason. So let's assume for the sake of this thread that it's a "hypothetical situation".

Should the January PPV be for the title, how would you guys match up the top of the division? For me it's pretty clear cut and I'd do:

Conox x Porier - Vacant LW title
Ferguson x Chandler - #1 Contender bout
Gaethje x Hooker

* I know guys can't accept Chandler fighting for a belt so soon, and I'm confused by the logic. Most champs coming from other orgs have historically taken a fight with a top 5 guy and jump straight into a title fight (should they win) idk why so many people are acting like these are such other world circumstances. Besides its not like things are clear at the top of the division, I think this fight makes a lot of sense.

** Gaethje deserves to keep his spot imo, I don't think he deserves a TS right away however. Especially when considering how he lost and the fact that there are other worthy contenders. If this division were in the same spot as say MW, then I'd understand. I can see Gaethje taking this fight with Hooker followed by the loser of either the title fight or #1 contender fight, as his road back to the title.

How would you guys like to see things play out in this striker too heavy LW division. Pretty much anyway you match these guys you get an exciting fight, so I'd say no wrong answers.

I don't see why Tony would jump in front of Justin in a number 1 contender fight, in your scenario. If Chandler is fighting in the #1 contender fight, it should absolutely be against Gaethje.

Tony vs Oliveira or Hooker works, either fight would be fantastic.

Why Chuck though? Because of finishes? He has one quality win in Lee, who has shown to be a mental midget (when things aren't going his way) in fights against Iaquinta, RDA, and to an extent Ferguson.

Hooker is undeniably higher in the LW food chain imo, and if Hooker doesn't get matched up with Gaethje, I wouldn't mind seeing that Oliviera fight so he can prove.

Like I said in the OP, that fight wouldn't be a gift, there's a history of other org champs taking top 5 fights and getting an instant title shot should they win.

I like this set up too, even though I don't like Nate getting instant opportunities, I do understand he's good for business. Plus win or lose he's always in good fights when he's not getting humped. Pretty sure he's setting it up too with the whole white belt thing and all.

Really like that Felder x Dariush match up. Dangerous fight for Benny if he doesn't grapple. Felder isn't the best striker, but he has pop, cardio, and isn't easy to take out.

He should fight for the title against Poirier and Ferg should fight Conor or Chandler/Oliveira.

If Conor Poirier goes through it shouldn't be for the title let khabib have the belt for a bit more and think it through. Then Gaethje can wait out and fight the winner of that for the title.

Bro I don't think you read the OP, trust me I'm with you. I just know the UFC is going to make Conman x Porier for the title and Tony x Chandler has been talked about more than once (pre and post 254).

Gaethje would be the odd man out and the only top 5 guy left for him would be Hooker. Besides that's a badass fight for us, why wouldn't you want to se that?
