In before a dozen Sherbros tell him how wrong he is.

Duran was a beast, still is. Anyone else have the video repeat and think "didn't he just ask that?". Haha

a near 40yo Duran playfully toying the shit out of a purime super MW Nigel Benn who was going hard in sparring

MMA fighters should study Duran if they wanna learn about inside fighting.

Hell boxers themselves should.

Inside fighting is a dying art in boxing this days and this era as a whole

fights like Spence/Porter were a welcome sign that a few guys still got it inside

History remembers Duran as best lightweight ever. I don't have a huge argument against that really.

Wilfred Benitez and SRL are the only guys who ever made him look bad but those fights were all the way up at 147 and 154

(Benitez was incredibly skilled for you mma guys who lightly dabble in old boxers, you gotta check him out)

Sergiy Derevyanchenko is probably my favorite current guy to watch inside the pocket. His head movement and angle switches are sublime. He's levels above Spence and Porter in that area

It's not really their fault, scoring of the last how many years is not kind when it comes to inside fighting. Doesn't score well & a lot of the time the referee breaks it up now before they get going.

Duran was a fucking savage for sure, and one of the things that made him so great, is also one of the things he gets criticized for. He drank a lot, had bad diet, wasn't focused at times, and still he was that good. That just shows how talented a guy like that really was, and same thing goes for B.J. Penn. Max Kellerman still looks the same as he did 20 years ago. Still as obnoxious as well.

I knew he was good but i was shocked at how much trouble he gave GGG

Uriah Grant would've knocked Duran stiff

Duran is the only member of the Four "Kings" to have taken Ls against each of his three counterparts.

Especially when you consider he got knocked down and had a terrible cut all within like the first 10 minutes....he won the fight clearly after he faced adversity, which is nothing short of a monumental feat against a vet like GGG even if it's not prime G

Damn, I forgot how fast he was - you don't even see his punches when he throws them half the time just watching this video.
