Jorge Masvidal on Ben Askren post-KO: "If I see that dude at Whole Foods, I’m going to slap that dude up because I don’t like him. It’s not over for Ben, there’s not too many people I’ve disliked more, I have over 50 pro fights and he’s one of them,” Masvidal said.
“He talked about my manhood, he talked about my culture, my ethnicity. Where do we draw the line? Why do certain people get to do stuff online? Other fighters are talking about people’s religions, wife, even kids? That’s cool? But after a fight I’m not allowed to showboat and rub it in your face so guys think ‘maybe I shouldn’t talk so much sh*t because when I cross these real mother f*ckers they’re going to make me pay for it, they’re going to embarrass the sh*t out of me.’”
Masvidal had previously mentioned that he thought Askren was a little racist:
“He’s a pompous f*ck. Think he might even be a little racist. Every time a minority says something, he has to ask somebody else like, ‘hey, what did he say? Because I don’t understand what he says.’ Obviously you understand me, we’re having dialect.
“Every time I say something, he’ll be like, ‘what does he even mean? Does he even speak English?’ Like shut the f*ck up, man. I just don’t like the dude. I can’t wait to show the world what happens when I don’t like people.”
Jorge says that the post-KO punches were 'super necessary':
"They were super necessary, the referee hadn’t pulled me off yet, and my job is to hit somebody until the referee pulls me off. So to those people, I would say maybe don’t watch MMA. Go back to soccer.
Says that Askren didn't get the 3-piece and a soda but got the whole buffet instead:
"I could just see how eager he was just to come forward. So I put my hands behind my back and let him think come eat. He didn’t know it was going to be a buffet though. He thought it was going to be a three piece but no, you getting the whole f*cking MGM Grand Buffet to the face man!”
