Although HGL just starched his opponent last night, and Silva is coming off a loss...Ranking wise, they're right in the same place.

In order for either guy to make it make a leap into the top 15.. I believe this fight should happen. More so than Silva/Thatch or HGL/Thatch.

Who do you guys got in this match up?
 
would love to see it. someone's getting KO'd.
 
its funny that they would cut so much weight to 170 just to both put it back on for the fight
 
I'd love to see it but I'd go with Silva-Pyle or maybe Silva-Kampmann if Kampmann comes back any time soon. I think those are solid tests for Silva to really gauge where he's at since most of his wins are against pretty low level guys.

As for HGL I think the suggestions of either Saunders or the Cote-Thompson winner are perfect match-ups for him.

I like this fight for Lim. No clue why Sato was offered Lim, since it was a matchup nightmare. It was a LW fighting a MW, since Sato barely cuts any weight, and Lim is close to 200 pounds fight night. The outcome was never in doubt.

The moment Erik doesn't fight a "trash can," he wilts under pressure and gets stomped out.

Lim fought the SF WW champion in 2 weeks notice, and went all 5.
 
I have always wanted to watch Erik Silva vs. Stephen Thompson.

Lim vs. Ben Saunders is a fight I've been wanting to see.

As far as Silva vs. Lim, Silva is the way better and more skilled fighter, but Lim is so durable. Silva would beat his ass for at least a round but eventually wilt and lose.

Lim is fun to watch but super overrated by Sherdoggers, he's almost like a giant Asian Leonard Garcia.
 
Silva gasses even faster than HGL. I'd say he eats Silva's punches and bruises him up for a 2nd or 3rd round TKO
 
Lim vs Saunders sounds good. I'd put Erick Silva against someone else coming off a loss. Maybe Takenori Sato again? Lol.
 
Erick Silva should fight John Hathaway next.
