Dern just going to barrel forward, land big strikes on the way in and wrestle. Loopz might be able to hold it off for a bit, but she doesn't have the cardio to do it for 3 rounds. Should be a pretty easy fight for Dern.

Godinez has been five hard rounds before. If anyone is going to gas it will be Dern.

She has gone 5 rounds, but not against the likes of Dern, who is a different sort of pressure than Demo.

The thing is, Loopy isn't going to want to wrestle. Her whole gameplan is obviously going to be to keep her base standing and throw hard shots when Dern comes in. Very similar to how she fought Ducote, Ricci, and Cynthia.

She had the power to deter those girls, but Dern is different. Dern gave no fucks at all about what Andrade and Lemos were throwing at her. She's going to care even less about Loopy's power shots.

Loopy will need to throw serious firepower for the entire fight to have any chance here, and she can't do that. She's tried that before in fights and slowed down and either lost the fight or lost the fight from that moment onwards. She'll need to be throwing bombs like she was hitting Hill with, but for the entire fight, and we saw how fast that made her gas against Hill.

I think Dern mauls her like she did Hill, and that was 5 rounds and Dern's cardio was great in that considering the pace she put on. I'd love if Loops won, but I don't think she can survive that sort of pace for long.

This is in Abhu Dabi, so it won't be main event anyway, and will be 3 rounds. Their loss, but no way they put WMMA in the main for that crowd.
 
I think it will be competitive either way, but I don't see Loopy having enough power in her hands to prevent Dern from doing exactly what @xhaydenx is saying. I do expect loopy to do very well defending most takedowns, and she will land her own shots, but dern's pressure and ugly powerful brawling with the rare successful takedown will probably be enough to get the win.

I used to think the same. Dern's td rate was some pathetically small number. It's only 15% now lol.

And then she got Nina down no worries, and that was after Nina fought Suarez and stopped 9/13 tds. Nina actually has a high tdd %.

I thought she'd struggle to get Lemos down as well, and then she somehow goes in and in the first round hits easily the best power double leg in SW history haha. Blew my mind when she done that lol.

Maybe, but despite her stats, she finds ways to get nearly all of her opponents down at least once. It's just often ugly and weird ass guard pulls or reversals, or standing back takes that break the opponent down the mat eventually, etc etc, things that don't count as "takedowns" on the stats.

She still has horrible takedowns, don't get me wrong, but she gets the fight to the mat more often than her TD stats would suggest.
