In a perfect scenario the division can be composed by:

Makhachev
Topuria
Charles
Holloway
Conor
Poirier
Vokanovski
Ortega

I can't think a divsion having so many talented and interesting fighters in the same time in MMA history

I agree it would be more interesting/exciting if those feathers moved up to lightweight permanently, but also agree that they had better do it quick before they disappear over the retirement horizon.

LW always has been the most exciting division however Islam and Charles aside, the rest are shopworn FW's and old men.

Topuria could be an interesting addition but let's see him against a live opponent at LW first.

There's always been good fights at LW.

But 3/4 of that list will be retiring sooner rather than later.

Ortega, Conor, and Porier are basically non factors at this point.

If Volk got anything left in the tank it would be cool to see him move up.

I personally think LHW has the most legends of any weight class.
But right now? It's dreadful.

Yeh I don't disagree on the right now, really not much after Poatan, but a few of the previous eras have been so full of legends and all timers.

This. And Holloway and Oliveira are ancient in fight years, won't be surprised if they both fall off soon.

Hell yeah... Even in the heyday of UFC's 205 division (Randy, Chuck, Tito, Vitor) you still had PRIDE which was even MORE stacked (Wanderlei, Shogun, Reem, Ricardo Arona, Rampage, Lil Nog and Hendo). SHEESH!!!
<DCWhoa>

Henry Cejudo becoming middleweight champion is more likely than Conor ever fighting at lightweight again.

You make a good point there. I was thinking of some of the Pride legends during their UFC runs, but if we expand that out to Pride and not just who came to UFC from there, LHW is hard to argue against.
