Sparring Light sparring match against a coach from another day.

I always hated "light sparring". It always kept ramping up and up as everyone feels like the other guy is going hard and you are just matching their intensity. Seemed to go from 50% to 90% inside 3 rounds.

You guys seem to manage your egos well.

I kinda agree. You never know what to expect. But this was good vibes only. We are both striking coaches in each our gym. We have experience from Thailand and kickboxing scene. So no egos.

It was fun because he felt really technical and sharp. So i wanted to go more rounds with him.

But the format of that session was that each "fight" was only one round of two minutes.

I need more to get into the groove.

Looks good. shame it was designed to be only one round. that's the kind of thing that could go for five rounds, ramping up intensity slightly towards the late rounds. seemed that both of you were warming up. Green gloves drops his hands a lot when he low kicks.

It wasn't really light. Low kicks started off like it could escalate but you guys than took it easier. This was more hard / regular sparring. Well you went hard on the low kicks and more controled on punches. That guy is also very tall.

It was not hard sparring at all. And not one single hard low back was thrown in that video.

Now that I rewatch it it doesn´t look hard. Why is reality subjective depending on the day
