News LFA is going to Spain on September 27

Smart. There is a lot of talent and fan interest in that region
A lot of people on social media are using this as a dunk on UFC, who won’t go to Spain specifically for Topuria (who I believe is the only guy from Spain on the current roster (who’s really Georgian, but whatever)).

So, for those unaware, Tenerife is in the Canary Islands, off the west coast of Africa. This is the equivalent of RIZIN saying they’re coming to the U.S, but going to Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Edit, definitely more akin to Guam, because Tenerife is on Africa’s continental shelf, not Europe’s.

I was hoping the ufc would have gone to Spain by now and if they don’t go in his next 2 fights I’ll be pissed… but yeah that is super dumb to dunk on the ufc because of this event.

Ngl I didn’t even read past Spain before commenting but still think it’s a good move.

I love it!!! I have always been a bit upset with Combate Global and when they ended up on You Tube I laughed said to myself "this Latin Promotion that refuses to go to Spain and build from their base/source of Latin culture is too chicken to be".

LFA as a feeder for UFC, is a great for them to be there before UFC... it will pave the way and help build them up. Dana was often asked about Spain but the interest from Spain wasn't enough to pay UFC's exorbitant site fees or else UFC would have been there already.

Combate isn’t a Latin promotion. They’re a promotion that caters to a Hispanic audience (who doesn’t care anyway

Dani Barez and Joel Alvarez are also in the UFC.

Spain isn't part of the Latin America or of the culture.

Be a douche. Latin was what Combate Global claimed not just Latin America.
