I haven't watched a lot of Muay Thai as it is a bit tougher to find and keep up with than sticking UFC on TV every week or the odd boxing PPV, however have been training Muay Thai since January this year. Would appreciate some names of prominent southpaws, particularly if they have videos of their fights on YouTube (or any other source you'd be kind enough to point to) and especially if there are videos online giving tips, drills, combos, fight strategies, correcting newbie mistakes etc (similar to the videos posted by Sean :eek::eek:an and Muay Thai Pros)

Thanks!

You're in luck, Muay Thai is full of high level southpaws. Off the top of my head, Samkor is a good one to watch, as well as Yodsanklai. Sam-A is another high level guy; Kongsak, Petchpanomrung, and of course you can't talk about Muay Thai southpaws without bringing up Saenchai.

As far as instructional stuff, it can be a bit trickier. Fight Tips, Sean :eek::eek:an (as you mentioned) are good. Damien Trainor also puts up some instructional stuff on his Instagram, as well as Charles Johnson. What's much better than any of these would be Sylvie von Duuglas-Ittu's Muay Thai Library. There's more content than any one person would likely ever consume, she has full recordings of her training sessions with legendary fighters and breaks down their instruction very well. I've gotten so much from watching those videos. I pay $10/month for access to it and it is worth so much more than that, can't recommend it enough.

Edit: I guess there's a censor on the forum, it keeps converting the first three letters of Sean's last name into those emojis hahaha

Haha poor Sean. Lots to review there which I shall do when I have a bit more time to search. Appreciate the help! Being left handed (/annoying) is basically my only advantage at the moment given my poor fitness, conditioning, strength, speed and fight IQ lol so happy to find some material to let me exploit that until the other things fall into place

Interesting little bit of info. Some thais are converted lefties. Ie they aren't naturally left handed. Yodsanklai is. Thats why he always had a strong jab and lead right hook. Also i think sam-a is aswell but can't remember for sure.

Actually suprising in one how many of the thai fighters and top fighters overall are lefties.
