Well, Walus finally managed to not look like he should be hanging of a hook in a freezer so it may be an interesting fight (although smart money is against him).

Not exactly for free - they display ads during the show breaks and this is the way they pay for "free" show. Clearly displaying those adds to foreigners is not bringing them a lot of value, so they offer PPV to them instead.

Couple of questions.

Why is Materla content with fighting guys like this? Surely he should be in the prime of his career now, testing himself against much beter competition? If Bezerra is a replacement, then apologies.

Why is Kamil Walus nicknamed 'Augustowski Drwal', what does that mean?

If that is what Materla was after then he would stop acting like a child and agreed to fight Mamed for the belt. It wasn't a replacement, just a standard pairing and official reason why it's not a title defense is that it was on short notice of 2 months. Ironically he didn't find 2 months too short to go against Manhoef in December.

As for walus "Augustowski Drawl" roughly translates to "a woodcutter from Augustow" which is a town in Poland.
