Someone pointed out before that a lot of UFC HWs are there not necessarily for their incredible fighting skils, but rather because that division is weak as shit.

Cutting the weight down to 205 gives them the "advantage" of fighting actual fit athletes and if they weren't winning vs the fatasses they aren't likely to win vs the muscular athletes. (Who probably have just as much muscle mass and similar power to the HWs with better cardio and they are way faster.)
