Kevin Nash says that the UFC is hurting the pro wrestling business. What are your thoughts on this?

Disagree. Apples and oranges. Also, wrestling has SUCKED for years and is truly dying, and that has nothing to do with MMA.

Of couse it is. Lol especially now thst UFC is going down the path of WWEesque story lines and bullshit matchups.

Seeing he doesn't even know if it's the UFC or UCF... I don't trust his opinion.

I stopped watching the first time when I found out..wait for it..that it was fake. And no, WWF is not still real to me damnit!!!

I watched for a short time in late 99 early 2000, but only because that shit was comedy. But fake fights can only entertain for so long.

I think the UFC is taking some fans from the WWF because it's real. I'm not asking to be an asshole but I would like to know, why watch WWF when their are real fights going on. That would be like not watching the super bowl because the longest yard is on, imo

They are different audiences with some crossover appeal. If you've spent enough time on Sherdog, you'll know there's a DEEP hatred towards pro-wrestling from the majority of people on here.

When both WWE and UFC were on PPV, they were certainly competition in the broadest sense but UFC was always more of an adult product while WWE has catered towards kids and early teens for years. I think what you'll see kids "graduating" to the UFC as they grow older. There are some of us like myself that can still appreciate good pro-wrestling but I can't bring myself to watch it consistently anymore.

He's right. UFC is like real pro wrestling - except sometimes the fighters throw decent punches in UFC.
NWO Wolfpack is dying.

Bret hart was the excellence of execution, but Hbk was the show stoppa who took his belt after a 60 + minute all out back and forth war.

The UFC is booking their top guy right, WWE isn't.

i watch both, i enjoy both
i recognize each for what they are and what they are supposed to be

its simple really, nothing to get so worked up about

and yes UFC is cutting into the demographic the WWE is targetting, but unless the UFC can pull of a show of the scale of wrestlemania, i think WWE will do just fine. As for the indie promotions, they have their loyal hardcores which wont leave

No doubt UFC has hurt prowrestling. This is common knowledge to everyone that has their finger on the pulse with both industries. Jim Cornette is another huge person in prowrestling that has come out saying UFC is killing their prowrestling business. Of course it is. Why would you want to watch fake fights over real fights? That's exactly why WWE these days are catering to children. Because the second you turn 13 or 14. You're done with WWE these days. You switch over to other sports and UFC/MMA. Yes in a real fight it may not be action 24/7. That's where to young children it's not appealing. But once they get older and more mature. They get the patience and can appreciate what MMA is

Wars don't have scripts that both sides agree to.

I'm an an unashamed wrestling fan, the best way I can state why it enertains me (aside from storylines) is that even though it's predetermined it is still exciting to watch. Just because something is real doesn't make it more fun. I watched Pettis vs Alvarez and could barely pay attention. But Brock Lesnar vs. Undertaker will have me hooked the whole time. It may not make sense to you but that's the best I can do!

The 7ft roid-monster with the mullet doesn't know what an adjective is. Imagine that.

Fair enough. I just don't get it, but to each his own.

Why watch fake fighting when you can watch real fighting?
