Media Kevin Lee calls out Khamzat Chimaev

Literally went toe to toe with Diego in the year 2021 or 2022.

The guy has just been so scattered with his call outs since coming back.

If by going toe to toe, you mean outclassing him in every area, while looking like he's barely trying, after tearing his ACL

Then you'd be accurate

Kevin gets his conditioning in order and gets a couple top 10-15 wins I wouldn't be opposed to it, but I believe they are currently looking at a top 3 opponent for Khamzat

Kevin Lee is going full mental breakdown, huh?

I wonder how little his contract is worth, dude seems pretty desperate TBH

Did Kevin actually call him out or did that guy just put Khamzat’s name in his mouth? Clickbait.

Nah but it was a literal outclassing bro

And he did it with a torn ACL.

People who reference that fight as if it was competitive are just delusional and suck at analyzing fights
To be fair, he also was beating Oliveira easily before gassing and getting submitted

Meh, he is delusional, but this isn't a great example. That wasn't like a callout, he was asked and said he would if it was offered, but recognized that it's not going to be offered and said he'd like to fight Magny and 1 other fight this year. Magny's sitting just outside the top 10, so that's a reasonable opponent imo.

I won't watch this fight again, but I don't think it was. Diego went toe to toe with Kevin. Yes he did lose the fight. But I do not agree it was "literal outclassing". Diego was supposed to get blown out. He was a huuuuuge underdog. Diego lost first probably second, but he DID go toe to toe with Kevin.

Yes.. it was

Diego got beat in every area handily and he lost 30-27.

All things considered, it was a good performance from Diego. Hes been brawling his entire career but he was throwing body kicks here, throwing punches with much better technique, footwork was better. It's probably the best his striking has ever looked and at 40.

So, respect to Diego. He was scrappy. But Lee beat him everywhere. With a torn acl.
