WoW... that bad huh???Guy is indeed a legend, but the podcast should've been called "Living Death"
Kenneth said he wuz gonna beat Tito to a living death.WoW... that bad huh???
So a typical MMA fighter?one of the last people i'd want to hear a podcast from. not too bright, and way, way too full of himself.
a lot worse than average, i'd say.So a typical MMA fighter?
Most hilarious coach you could ever have in your gym.one of the last people i'd want to hear a podcast from. not too bright, and way, way too full of himself.
Yup, thats your brain and mind at work, not Kens. And his voice went really weird when he said "young boys" lol, but I'm pretty sure that was innocent. It just jumped out at me because of the times we're living in.
The Lights out Podcast by Chris Lytle has some excellent interviews on Lions Den guys that sheds a lot of light. At the 26 minute mark, he's talking about fighters who betrayed him, took all the things he provided for them and then turned against him. I assume he's talking about Frank, but who else had an acrimonious split with the Lion's Den? I don't remember the politics of the time at all -- that was pre-internet for me, never had a view behind the scenes. I read his book, but don't remember it if he talked about it.
Early Ken would have handed Frank his ass. Frank would have probably KO'd Ken in later years, I mean even Royce Gracie got a TKO.The bit talking about the fight with Frank was iinteresting, that would have been nice to see. Frank was always a much smaller fighter, I agree that he proposed the fight because he thought Ken was hugely diminished in ability.
Thats interesting, might have to give this one a listen. Frank said he would have loved to have fought BJ in his prime I remember. People forget the phenom he was in manhandled Matt Hughes.Interesting to hear the story about BJ Penn beating Frank's ass in training because Frank didn't know who BJ was. Also surprising to hear Ken call Frank a good guy.

most of it about how wonderful he is, i'd assume. that's all i've ever heard when he talks. When I've heard him on other podcasts he's a pretty good storyteller.
Thanks for the feedback. Any constructive criticism is much welcomed. That was really cool, never thought of him as a founder of Pancrase. It was interesting to hear him express frustration at the fixed fights. And his voice went really weird when he said "young boys" lol, but I'm pretty sure that was innocent. It just jumped out at me because of the times we're living in.

I didn't think the host was very good, but he surprised me a few times with the quality of his questions, like if he took on the responsibility for other people because he was following his dad's lead.

lol I spoke too soon about the host. "Have you ever had an experience with the supernatural?"
