I remember seeing this cat in black belt magazine back in the day. He caused quite a stir because he had tapes and was only a blue belt?? Whats he up to now?

kazeka. Heard lots of stories from professor Sauer's students about him, left Brazil a blue belg arrived a black belt. Im curious too.

Kazeka is a goddamn monster on the mats. Terrific wrestler to boot. Not sure about the whole back story issue (didn't know there was any controversy), but I've seen him absolutely handle some very good people.

I believe he was training Bisping at one point as well?

In any case, not sure what you're asking, but if you're asking if he's good at BJJ/Black belt level then yeah, he is.

The funniest part about Kazeka is not his grappling skill, which is legit, but the fact that he talks with a Brazilian accent and portrays himself as Brazilian, when he in fact was born in the USA and grew up here. His roots are from Latin America, but he's fooled so many people into thinking he is Brazilian when he is not. He's even fooled Brazilians.

Hes a legit BB, alas there are better you could train with but that doesn't make him not good.

Hes apparently a really talented wrestler that trains people in Cuba or some shit. like someone else said hes born here, i was told he was a ex navy seal.

I've trained with him. He's legit as hell. He absolutely handles other black belts, and ones I won't name from the current UFC roster. I believe there's a video of him vs Werdum, where he was quite undersized, and narrowly lost on points.

I'm pretty sure he's originally from Cuba.

Dude's a badass, my good friend grew up with him in So cal. He's ex navy seal. Trained under Relson and others. What people don't know is he's got amazing stand up. My buddy saw him spar Benny "The Jet" Urquidez and he held his own and bloodied Benny's nose! He spent some time teaching and training freedom fighters from, I cant recall, maybe Nicaragua, guerrilla warfare. He's hardcore.

No, he's from Lancaster, CA.

Didn't he also coach Rampage Jackson at one point also?

I know he was up at Rampage's camp at one point, but with Bisping I think.

Kazeka is a seriously badass grappler. And he used to tell people that he was a navy seal- but he wasn't, and I think he wised up and stopped telling people that. And given the seal bullshit, I suspect all the freedom fighter stuff is made up too.

legit grappler but from what i have heard a legit headcase also.

Just started training at his gym in north Georgia. No idea about the truth of any of these stories but he did mention buds training the other day in class. I did a see a lot of fake seal stories about him on google though. He claimed to be born in some South American country I can’t remember and to have moved to Cuba when he was young. He is definitely a good fighter and instructor
