I honestly don't think, based on his last performance (fight against Ciryl Gane), that he would have much success in Boxing. In addition to his technique being somewhat limited in the way he moves, Boxing is not just about punching. It's movement, how you stand and how you walk. Tyson Fury is a gigantic man who moves very well. We saw in (Francis Ngannou's) last fight that he would have lost to Gane if he had stayed standing, so he was smart enough to decide to show his ground game”, said Junior dos Santos.

Francis Ngannou with Tyson Fury will be interesting, of course. Obviously, I don't see many chances for him. In my opinion, he doesn't have boxing, he has power, strength... The blows come out unexpectedly, from all sides so you don't know where to expect them. He has a big wingspan, a lot of strength, a lot of knockout power. That makes a big difference, but I don’t see much of the quality of Boxing,” declared Júnior dos Santos.

There is basically zero chance he wins.

Ngannou has the power. He's a big puncher and his punches have 280+ lbs of solid muscle behind them.

That said, Wilder has just as much power due to insane explosiveness, body mechanics and punching technique. He also has an underrated delivery system from great timing, experience, and fast movement. Even discounting Wilder, I am confident that guys like Joshua, Dubois, and Zhang can punch just as hard as Ngannou. Power is the only thing Ngannou has that stands out, and it's honestly not that special among the elites in HW boxing.

Ngannou has nothing that Fury hasn't seen before.

That said, Ngannou is the king of HW MMA, a man with the greatest power in MMA and a solid cow chin to boot (and one who predominantly uses his fists), and this is his first boxing match against the king of HW boxing. This is the first time something like this has happened. It's not about winning, its just the intrigue.

Was watching an interview with Butterbean about his fight at Wrestlemania with Bart Gunn. He said that when he went in, he was kinda worried, bc Gunn was a brawler who threw powerful shots from weird angles. But the WWF had pushed Gunn into boxing for real, and he took it seriously. When Butterbean noticed Gunn was there to box, he wasn't nervous anymore and literally murdered Bart Gunn's career (RIP).

He said that if he'd have just done what he did to all of the other wrestlers he'd fought in the Brawl 4 All, that it would have at least been 50/50, bc he wasn't sure he'd be able to withstand it if Gunn landed, and Gunn might have, except he wanted to play Butterbean's own game, and was a beginner.

If Frank shows up to box, he's going down. If he shows up to do what he does, he has a chance. He shouldn't play Fury's game, he should do his best to make it wild. Unfortunately, he will probably box, and it will probably be boring.

These money fights only make sense if you plan on retiring after

the amount of damage Francis will take

He'll be fine. He's only been rocked like once his entire career. Even if he gets KO'd it's well worth the payday. Can't wait for it to magically be there when you retire.

I like everything you said here, except the fact that you said Dubois hits as hard as Ngannou.
Not a chance of that being close, to be fair sir.

It’s like someone totaled their car on a straight road in broad daylight and goes around telling people they don’t know how to drive

Although I agree and that was a lousy attempt at a punch, it doesn't make what he said fake.
If a 300 lbs obese man tells another 300 lbs obese man that he is fat, it doesn't make the second one less fat, just because the first one is also fat.

Also, JDS was clearly out of his prime in that fight.
Also, JDS is not trying to get a career in boxing.

Yes JDS is trying to get into boxing, he's been trying to even to this day. Thing is, no one cares to see him fight anymore much less box.

JDS reminds me of Frank Grimes on the Simpsons.

He has been trashing Ngannou's striking for years (and rightfully so), saying there is no technique, etc.

Then he went in and fought him, and the same thing happened to him as had happened to every other Ngannou opponent - he was KOed within a minute and a half by a showing of somewhat unorthodox technique and extreme power.

Then after their fight he has continued to rubbish Ngannou, all the while his own plight saw him fall so low that he was cut from the UFC, and managed to extend his KO losing streak to 5 after falling to perennial tomato can, Yorgan De Castro.

Francis meanwhile, rose to the top of the heap, whilst continuing to display his patented inadequate technique, almost flaunting the rules of MMA physics to purest like JDS.

He’s not wrong lol.

JDS isn't wrong, but Ngganou knows how to strike, and he has the power that if one strike his its button than he can KO any man.

JDS found that out, and JDS is the better boxer.
