Matchups make fights
Both guys are strong, good at almost everything (maybe not top-position grappling), great at nothing (even if Baki seems to think he's an elite boxer), bad at nothing
Baki is a frontrunner, and Zebo is more of a durable 5-round fighter (even if he's massive)

Lmao dudes wouldn’t shut up about him after he “beat” Doumbe.

For some reason, people felt that fluke finish warranted him a hype train. Glad it’s over.

Surprised he didn't make it to the UFC.

They'd have built him a serious record, letting him surge through their midcard slopsters.

Taking his first L on the regionals... that's gonna set him back a few years.

To be fair people were into Baki way before the Doumbe fight.

Anyway many elite fighters have lost before so he could well be back. Several current UFC champs had losses on the regionals.

He did not respect his opponent enough and started to spend too much energy too quickly. That plus the fact he thought smart to clinch when he had the guy hurt by a body shot in rd1 did not help. But yeah he could come back, if he us tough mentally. He will have to "build" his fights better also but he has the skills to do it.

Yeah I haven't seen it yet but part of me was saying going in that Zebo might be a tough one because he can wrestle and he's athletic. I think Baki needs to work a little more on getting good damage off rather than mat returns in previous fights I've seen from him.

Love it, I wasn't as high on Baki as a super prospect as some to be honest.

Who you high on as a super prospect? Genuinely curious, not trying to be petty.

Sometimes you dont know until they show you, ya know? I thought Elizier Kubanza and Baki could be really special talents, less so Elizier but still I didnt expect either would lose to chumps at this stage.

I thought Shaydullaev could something before any of you ever heard of him, but now its obvious hes a huge deal. It wouldnt have shocked me if he caught an L like the aforementioned though.

No idea actually, I just remember seeing his record and thinking 'not many decent opponents there' and saw him fight once and wasn't too impressed.
