There have been hundreds, if not over a thousand posts assuring Sherdogdom that Jon Jones will never actually fight at HW. Supposedly, he was just mouthing off for some unknown reason.

Well, is it real enough yet? Obviously, the fight has yet to happen, but are you nonetheless ready at this time to concede that you were wrong all these months and possibly years? If so what changed? Did he never intend to fight but changed his mind for some reason?

Or do you honestly still doubt that Jon will fight at HW? Doesn't have to be absolute doubt, just that you give it less than 50% likelihood that Jon Jones will fight Gane this weekend.

I don't know about... Jon is already the GOAT heavyweight here.

People don’t get their hopes too high about fights because Christmas gets cancelled at the last minute on a regular basis.

Jon is still retired and will pull out on fight night. He’s just doing all this to keep his name relevant. My insider sources on Sure Dawg told me so

I mean, you would have to be pretty delusional to think he would move up. Lol.

Just cause it happened, doesn't mean there wasn't logic behind it. You don't end up being the smart one cause you were correct.

If the fight is ruled a no contest next week, does it still count?

After being assured that no, Jon Jones has not been suspended for 3 years, my assumption was he wouldn't fight again at all, let alone at heavyweight.

That 3 year hiatus is absolutely inexplicable.

It makes no sense whatsoever.

The lie that it takes 3 years to add muscle mass in purely non-competitive circumstances is just ridiculous.

You'd be better off adding 10 lbs incrementally and competing in one sport or another (BJJ probably) to make sure it actually works.

The absence, and the reasons for it, are absolute garbage if he isn't actually retired.

I had 10+ accounts ban bet me that jones wouldn’t fight at HW but I can’t remember their accounts lol

90% of the site was wrong but hey what else is new

fading the majority on sherdog is the easiest way to be right

instead of just coming to terms with the fact they were wrong they’re already in this thread making excuses

He just had to wait 10 years for his best match up lmao

no

everyone complained that IF jones came to HW he would target and old, slow, past their prime heavyweight

he’s literally doing the exact opposite of that

No, he wanted a HW he had a clear advantage over. He seen Francis’ wrestling get better, seen him takedown Gane. Then saw Francis leave. Now he’s back. No Francis or prime Stipe and now he’s back lmao

He’s only been waiting since 2013 for this
