I`m calling it right now, Aldo`s era is over and Velasquez`s era is also over. The next in line is Jon Jones. There is only so much your body can take, and he looked horrible in his fight against OSP. He may get by Cormier, but he will be stopped by Gustafsson. There seems to be an curse that you can`t be a champion for too long.

Would not be surprised.

I still don't think DC is the right guy to do it. Just the wrong stylistic match up. Jones struggles with guys who can rival his length and reach. DC is the opposite; he's one of the most compact guys at LHW.

But, Gus awaits...

Well now usada has busted him

Probably

Gus will beat him in a rematch, he looked terrible against OSP

You forgot Cruz.

But no, Jones is here to stay.

there was a cain era?

We'll call it the Cain/JDS era.

This sucks though. Probably the best champions in UFC history were all title holders at the same time. Anderson/GSP/Aldo/Jones are arguably the 4 best fighters to ever fight for the organization. They've all fallen in their own way. Even the two that haven't lost yet don't seem like what they were before. It all feels like a sloppy mess of garbage now with all the problems that have been going on the past couple years.

50-45's OSP without even putting his foot on the gas = looked terrible.

Hes still as good as ever just a little rusty.

Wait a minute......he looked horrible vs OSP by completely dominated him for 5 rounds??? He won that fight 50/45 and 50/44. He more than double OSP in strikes landed and took him down easily, passed is guard every time he had him down

How did he look horrible??

He looked terrible against osp. I wouldn't be shocked if dc stops him

nothing lasts forever and fuck a legacy... there are no happy endings (except at the massage parlor)

It's the 10 year rule. No one has been able to escape it yet in MMA. Everyone begins to fall off after 10 years in the sport no matter what age. Jones just hit 10 years and despite only being 30, the OSP fight showed he is slipping and he hasn't had a finish in years. If he doesn't lose to DC, he'll lose to Gus.

He'll win some and lose some but his run of dominance is over.

lulz no. The guy shining his belt got smoked last time and it will be even worse this time

WTF era did Cain ever have? A few defenses followed up by 5 years of injuries??

Bones is my fav fighter, but let us get real. Shogun Jones would finish OSP in the two first rounds. Watch the pre-fight preview of Jones-Osp by Firas Zahabi. He predicted Jones by g&p in the two first rounds. Young Bones would double leg him and throw elbows until his skull was crushed.
