Belfort: A beefed up middleweight whose tactic is to explode early before he gassed later on.
Sonnen: This fight was a joke.
Gus: This is the one guy who has the same sized frame as Jones. Because of this and his technical boxing and footwork he was able to give Jones huge problems. It was a very close fight, and even though Jones did more damage, turns out after the fight that Jones was the one on the stretcher.
Glover: This is an actual light heavyweight even though he is still smaller than Jones. And this might actually be his most impressive win considering Glover's size and skill set.


Has Jones impressively beaten someone his own size?
i dont think he has been in a fight with a guy who matches him in reach and that is physically bigger than him.

Most the fighters you listed was the top 10 at LHW and former champs.

I’m no Jones fan, but he’s not a weight bully.

He’s a height-length bully, but that’s not his fault (although his reach helps his eye pokes). He’s only really struggled, or looked beatable, against guys close to his own height.

Look at his twig legs. He’s no heavyweight. He’s almost single handedly changed the physique at LHW. They’re almost all well over 6ft now.

Lets attack him for the right reasons, there are so many.

I think Machida, Evans and DC are his best wins.

Everyone else is kind of meh cause they are out of their prime.

Anyone who accuses Jon Jones of weight bullying is a fucking idiot. Spent over 10 years at 205, never missed weight once, never had to go to the hospital due to dehydration. When you comfortably make a weight division for that long, you cannot be called a weight bully.

Strangely, his resume was outstanding and he was considered a machine for the longest time, not to mention the most talented MMA we’ve ever seen. That being said his hit list didn’t age well considering that most of his opponents were or are MW’s, many were past prime, add failed drug tests, and his performances off the gas, and yeah... overrated.
