This video is so good. Joe Rogan just said that Eddie Alvarez sparred almost 100 rounds in preparation for his RDA fight and he looked like a killer but then Conor schooled him in 2 rounds and made him look like a bum. Also he said that Donald Cerrone is not sparring at all, he's just doing drills and he looked better than ever.

Lol have any of you seen Rogan sparring JWP?

Very amateurish, anyone who thinks he even has a remote chance against any professional fighter youre out of your mind

Rogan's doesnt know what hes talking about. He's never fought, nor went on a streak like Wanderlei or Werdum has

Donald got beat in under a round when it mattered. I'd listen to Bas over Rogan. Hard regular sparring is needed. Bit you need to do it with smart people and avoid head damage. Go harder with the body lighter against the head.

Joe also argued that brawling in mma was also good. Cause juiced wandy. He doesn't know what he's talking about.

Rogan is one of the greatest fighters to ever walk this earth.

NEVER entered in even an amateur level MMA competition.

Or grappling
Or striking

Yep I believe him...

I wish Rogan would explain how he could call someone like Brock just a massive white boy when he knows he is jacked on steroids.

Well Cowboy doesn't need anymore May Thai sparing. His biggest crutch has been his wrestling, so that's what he chooses to focus on. It's MMA, when you are best at one area, and you are not as good in another, you focus on this. The guy fight's once every other month. His sparring is his fighting.

I think the general takeaway is, veteran like Cerrone who has already had tons of fights, doesn't need to spend time sparring.

New people probably do.

Joe says some pretty crazy stuff on his podcasts all the time but this one seems fairly logical to me.

The primary reason why any fighter would choose to spar less is to lessen the long term damage associated with conditions like concussions, CTE, et al. You can hit pads, do drills, and work a heavy bag. But none of those hit back.

I'm sure Cerrone spars. There's footages of him doing that on YouTube. Joe Rogan makes things up more & more.

Never realised how weird Americans pronounce the name 'Bernard'.

Sherdog and Rogan science.

Correlation between one performance and another means sparring is bad. No wonder Rogan is a Ph.D.

Title is not accurate, but I guess that doesn't matter. #fakenews

Pretty sure embedded eps from 206 have him sparring Joe Schilling but, maybe I'm high and remember wrong.
