This fight showed me that Silva got taken down so easily in those other fights because he simply wasn't that concerned about the takedown in them. In those fights I did notice that he didn't panic when taken down, and dealt with it easily, but I incorrectly thought based on how easily he went down in the first place, that Bryce would give him some trouble there.

Fighting Nerds train takedown defense with Flavio Alvaro here in Brasil. This guy has some legendary takedown defense, man.

They are all very good in that aspect of the game.

And keep in mind that now they are training with a Dagestani Sambo World Champ. (i don´t remember his name, but is very very skilled. He comes here, pass some weeks and go back to Russia and then come back to Brazil.)

I knew that Silva would make easy work. I watched his training and he showed amazing timing for takedown defense.
