Speaking to Boxing Scene, Paul explained that he sees a pattern in some of Joshua’s toughest nights. “I think it’s watching his [Daniel] Dubois fight, watching the [Andy] Ruiz fight, even watching the [Oleksandr] Usyk fight, and when you look at it, he’s lost to guys who are smaller than him. I think his weakness, his kryptonite, is the faster guys who don’t get hit by his big punches.”

Why Jake Paul believes he can trouble Joshua

Building on his analysis, Paul suggested that speed, rhythm, and movement—not power—will dictate the outcome on fight night. “I just think with speed and footwork and being in a rhythm, I don’t think he can handle that,” He said. “He doesn’t like that because he is a little bit stiff. He does rely on his power. Obviously, you get hit by one of his shots, you’re cooked, but I believe I’ll be able to float like a butterfly and sting like a bee.”

he won the rematch without a scratch but who cares about facts
He did win the Ruiz rematch without a scratch but that was 6 years ago. AJ chose to box & move in that fight. That won't be his strategy against Jake. He'll likely use his range to keep the kid on the outside and look to counterpunch. Jake will be the one on his bike.

He said Joshua historically struggles against shorties. Ruiz 2 was one of his easiest wins, and if he didnt brawl him in the first match he likely drops him later in the fight again. he got carried away

AJ is taller than almost every fighter in the division so of course he's going to have losses to shorter men. He still handled significantly shorter fighters like Takam, Ruiz (rematch), and Povetkin though the latter gave him some trouble early.

Tommy couldn't even win a Commonwealth or British title. Neither would Jake if he lived in one of those respective regions.
Those are pretty hard titles to get though. You can still be a good boxer and not be good enough to be a British champion, that's a pretty high standard.

It's a given that Joshua dwarfs any of this of course.

They are difficult to win generally speaking but I'm looking at it purely from Jake purporting to be world level. We can aim much lower, say for a national title. Would Jake be able to win an English title if he were an Englishman? I don't know. Tommy Fury has yet to win it and he beat Jake. His half-brother Tyson won the English title in his 8th pro fight, if I recall, but the result was controversial. The majority of observers felt that McDermott should've won their first encounter.

To Tyson's credit though he won every title along the way to world level - national (both the English & Irish national titles), regional (British & Commonwealth titles), continental (European), and intercontinental & international titles.

AJ lost cause he never cherry picked opponents and fought the hardest battles.

While I believe Joshua sparks him out, if somehow
Paul manages the opposite….

The entire legitimacy of the sport will be ridiculed for years.

Literally ZERO pressure on Paul here….Joshua has the entire sport on his back.

{<hhh]

The problem I see with this is Jake’s footwork isn’t as good as Joshua, and any speed advantage is gonna be negated by Joshua substantial reach advantage

That’s exactly what Hearn says in this interview today. Anyone still thinking this is gonna be a fix should read what Hearn says. If anything they’re looking to make a statement
