I think Jack would do a lot better against Shavkat than he did against that last guy. That sounds crazy, I know, but I really think Jack assumed he was going to get the short notice regional guy out of there easily. Those combos he was hitting him with in the first are the sort of shots none of his other opponents have survived, yet that guy did. And he just kept surviving them. I think it threw Jack's whole game off lol.

Did Maddalena go forward in time and beat Holland already or did that fight get canceled? As TriangleMonkey already pointed out, he overlooked his last opponent and Holland is a great grappler in his own right.

I'm not sold on JDM as anything outside of a good boxer in the pocket.... Geoff Neal would've killed the guy JDM just went to life and death with and hes shown it by dispatching more proven guys like Mike Perry and Luque and Neal was absolutely overwhelmed in the pocket by Shavkat. No disrespect to JDM but I was impressed watching Shavkat beat Neal in Neal's preferred range and it seems to be JDM's preferred range too.
While I think footwork might cause Shav problems I don't think JDM has the timing to punish Shavkat for his very aggressive approach.

Shavkat has a 33% takedown accuracy and very bad striking defense, as he displayed in his last fight, when he let Geoff Neal punch him in the face at will.

Shavkat has zero boxing defense or head movement and JDM might be the best boxer in the division.
People will scoff because of his last performance but if Shavkat didn't fight smart and come to wrestle then JDM has a decent shot of knocking him out.
