Well now isn’t he in an absolutely impossible position? People have been screaming for Jones to go up to heavyweight for like six or seven years. He says he’s doing it and then what now? Suddenly people tell him to go back down to 205?

Yeah, a win over stipe or ngannou holding a belt would just be such a massive accomplishment. That’s been the 1 knock on him besides the peds right? That he has a tough time with some big brawlers. If he wins vs stipe or ngannou he shatters that image

MW division is trash now, the two guys Izzy slaughtered with ease, Whitaker and Costa are fighting to get a rematch. It is a great time to move up.

I'm not saying Jones should have, I said could have. I was just answering the guy who is claiming Izzy is ducking Jones.
 
Izzy will smoke Jan early. He has power but isn't slick enough nor quick enough to catch Izzy with anything. I think Izzy KO's him within 2 and then waits for Jones and fights him at Heavyweight.
 
Blazhowicz will likely win. Israel has power in certain situation, but Jan is 6'4 with big reach and good chin, not 5'10 with a small reach... so most of that power won't be able to be delivered. The knockouts we saw from Israel were when short fighters did the impossible and stupid idea of trying to exchange hooks with someone out of their own reach, and they were low enough for Israel's leanback hook to be powerful.

Israel does have a chance if he just chops the leg and runs around imo, but even then Jan has some decent kicks of his own.

This won't even be competitive. I guess next we're getting champ Jan vs champ Stipe.
