I think the name of the movie did it disservice. A lot of guys dont want to watch something called Ballerine, makes it sound like a girl's movie.

I thought the movie was okay. The only good John Wick movie was the first one.
Folks don't realize that the ballerina is Ana de Armas. One hot babe. The movie is about her.
The best scene in the movie is when you see her on the floor with her legs open and her nice little black panties.
A lot of the action is pretty ridiculous. Stupid really. Why is it that the hero is always attacked one enemy at a time? In real life, 3 of the enemy would be all over our hero and kill him or her. I saw the movie because of Ana. Was not disappointed.

All of the Wick movies are dumb, that’s kind of the point tho. Just generic action film shit.


The thing for me is I wouldn’t mind if they could actually cast and write them properly like they used to. There are no ‘Die Hard’ level films in this genre anymore.
 
I thought it was great i do t think it bombed tho. I did expect it to do better. Ana was great in it.
 
Was so good. I loved that snowy mountain town where assassins go to retire without having to constantly look over their shoulders. Even the cook's were trained killers.

Ana was great in it it wasnt the Mary Sue marvel shit. And yeah she looks like the current Audrey Hepburn/Phoebe Cates level cute/hot but like Audrey shes actually a very underrated actress too.
 
It feels like the series is painted into a corner. I liked the flamethrower scene but so much of this felt like old hat. I want to really like it but struggle. I think I would have preferred just a movie on her upbringing rather than making it a revenge movie. The revenge angle has been done. Could have shown how John Wick was trained, as well in flashbacks and stories. It is like they skipped over the most new material to the series.

Like you, until recently I’d only seen the first John Wick movie when it first came out, and was pretty into it. Definitely glad I checked it out, but never bothered to watch any of the other 3 sequels.

I busted my leg up pretty good back in May and was laid up for about a week so I binged the 3 sequels on streaming, and if you’ve seen the first…. You’ve seen ‘em all. It’s the same exact plot with different characters, a few different weapons, and different fight backgrounds, but they all feel like the original on repeat IMO.

Still, the action is gas on each film so they’re all worth your time, but there’s nothing you’ll miss by watching them out of sequence, or just skipping to the most recent.

Maybe if it was her 10 years ago. Ana in 2025, pushing 40? Nah, I'm good.

If you enjoyed the first wick movie then you should watch the rest of them.

Some are better than others but all of them are enjoyable. And I think it has one of the more satisfying endings to a movie series in recent history.

Just don't watch more than one per day, or you get wick fatigue
