Different weight class.
They may be different weight classes, but they walk around at damn near the same height and weight.

Michael Page
Height

Weight 187 lb (85 kg; 13.4 st)[1]
Division Welterweight (MMA)
Light heavyweight (Boxing)
Reach 77 in (196 cm)

Israel Adesanya
Height 6 ft 4 in (1.93 m)
Weight 185 lb (84 kg; 13.2 st)
Division Middleweight (MMA)
Cruiserweight (Boxing)
Reach 80 in (203 cm)

Not that much different in size.

I got Venom by armbar.

I have yet to see MVP fight anyone worth a damn to know how good he is.

We've at least seen Adesanya against half decent fighters.

On that alone, I'd pick Adesanya.

So, really quick

I’d like to set some ground rules for this thread, since TS didn’t

what are our goals, here?

I assume TS is joking. I love watching MVP fight - it's fun as hell. But MVP isn't in the same class as guys who test themselves in there at all. He doesn't want Adesanya at all.

To his credit, MVP did seem to want Dailey, and that would have been a step up from anyone he's faced. But to fight a fighter who's growing and beating UFC fighters? That's not MVP's game at all.

MVP's fight with Fernando Gonzalez was terrible too. He won by split decision against a guy that threw like 20 strikes in the whole fight. MVP threw about the same but landed a few more maybe.

The fight was just awful. Not to mention Gonzales was like 25-13 when they fought....

Very true. Other than that he's been a lot of fun though. I say keep feeding him mudsuckers and catfish and let the good times roll!

He's not a guy who would be fun to see in competitive fights because he'd probably be way closer to how he was in the Gonzalez fight. I prefer to see him dancing and breaking skulls, if I get to pick.

not even a question. Adesanya via fighting people in the top 50 of a weight class. MVP is 31 and hasn't had a relevant fight.
