As I predicted Izzy opens as the betting favorite for the rematch. The odds makers, like all non-casual fans, could see that something was off with Izzy. In another thread I said it was most likely an undisclosed hand injury, and I noted how after the fight he went over to Dana and whispered something to him and then pointed to his hand.

Anyways, don't want to keep harping on the likely hand injury cause at the end of the day Strickland deserves his props. So we move o to the rematch and look forward to Izzy getting his belt back in dominating fashion and exposing the fluke of the 1st fight for what it was.

I think Izzy will be more aggressive this time around. My honest guess is that he was dealing with a hand injury, hence the constant backpedaling and lack of engagement.

I don't agree Izzy necessarily had any issues leading into the fight, but I do agree it looked like he pointed at his hand one time when he went to his corner in the earlier rounds. He could well have hurt his hand throwing a punch or who knows.

alright well he was referring to when he walked up to Dana and said he pointed to his hand there, and I've seen this said before so I looked at that sequence multiple times and he does no such thing
