Is Wu Yanan - Lucie Pudilová @278 the worst 'on paper' fight ever on a main PPV? (gimmicks excluded)

One has lost 3 in a row in the UFC, the other 4 in a row in the UFC.

Ignoring folks like Toney, CM etc... who had no records, has there been a worse matchup on the PPV portion of a UFC card that you can recall? (on paper in terms of losses)
This is a question about records/losing streak numbers, not me saying it won't be a good fight or trying to discuss their skills. More statistically curious if we've seen similar fights get main card treatment where both fighters had lost 3+ UFC fights in a row.

edit: Going off the wiki which lists it as 2nd of 5 on the main card.
I'm seeing it as a prelim elsewhere.

No idea, but instead of worrying about what looks bad "on paper", you should be worrying about whether it's going to be a good fight or now.

Lucie goes hard and has put on some bangers. Wu ain't too bad in this regard either.

Should be a fun fight.

Uhhh, using the term "on paper" was to imply it may not be a bad fight bromigo.
It's possible to hope for a good scrap AND wonder if it's the worst combo of losing streaks for PPV opponents.

She lost her last fight but she got fight of the night. She threw down with that husky Brazilian chick that armbarred Eggers. Wu actually is showing some improvement. She throws down but she doesn't have fight IQ.

She probably doesn't belong in the UFC though. It's a steep learning curve and fighters should get some international experience outside first.

Pudilova usually has pretty exciting fights. Mostly stand up, high pressure, high volume… has gotten 2 FOTN Awards… should be a good fight to watch.

And skill wise there have plenty of HW brawlers with less technical ability and shit cardio

On paper it’s a pretty shoddy looking ppv in general imo, not much on the prelims I am stoked to see and only imo 3
Fights on the main card worthy… that said, you never fuckin know, low expectations can produce amazing nights.

I was asking about the "on paper" aspect.
Can you find a HW fight on the main card of a PPV that had 3+ UFC losses in a row for each fighter.

You don't put two fighters with losing records like that on a PPV and ask people to pay. That fight is a TUF finale curtain jerker.

It's also weird to have Tyson Pedro vs Harry Hunsucker on the main card too.

Pedro is decent, but unranked and hasn't fought anyone a meaningful name since 2018.
Harry Hunsucker shouldn't even be in the UFC, the guy is 0-2(two KO losses) and even lost his DWCS fight. His overall record is 7-5 and he's coming down in weight for this one(from heavyweight to light heavyweight).

This fight is another gimme bout for Pedro tbh, it'll be quick and entertaining though. Harry hasn't gone past the first round in any of his pro fights and all his losses come by TKO/KO so he's most likely gonna get KO'd within a round in this one.

This card being a PPV is risky since it's REALLY being carried by those last three(Aldo/Merab, Costa/Rockhold and Usman/Edwards).

So we are just ignoring Pudilova is on a 2 fight streak and won 5 out of her last 6.

We just ignoring that?
Are you ignoring that she lost her last 4 UFC fights like I said?
This thread isn't "Hey Pudilova is the worst wahhh". It's literally about trying to see if there is ON PAPER, any matchups on modern PPVs where both fighters had lost 3+ UFC fights in a row.
Her fights in a regional Czech promotion don't change that stat, especially when she lost one of them to another chick who had been in the UFC, if you want to count that as 5 straight losses to UFC vets.

I would 100 % ignore that, yes.

She was a Czech fighter with a UFC history fighting in a Czech promotion against handpicked foreign opponents.

They somehow imported Yariwaki from Brazil, where she hadn't fought in three years, and she struggled with Waliczek twice, someone Julija Stoliarenko beat in 30 seconds.

A quick KO for a guy with Jasan Momoa tattoos is plenty of value for casuals looking for a good warmup fight. Pedro coming off a big KO they can showcase.

Oh, fair enough. I didn't really consider it that way.

Then yeh, it might be the worst haha.

In a low tier promotion against cans. TS specified she has lost 4 UFC fights in a row.
