Kango

Boxing Equipment > Best NZ Boxing Equipment Prices Guaranteed

I train about twice a week due to my dumb ass work schedule. It's not like I dont have any spare time, my work and training session always seem to clash.

My friend who trains with me and I were thinking if we have the right equipment, we could train among ourselves when I cant get to gym.

I need a head gear and maybe focus mits??

I have gloves and shin guards so yeah..

The cheap focus mit is like half the price of a "pro" focus mit.
What would be the difference??

And head gear too.. I don't understand why such equipment could have a huge(?) price range.

But first things frist, is Kango any good?

We only use "NZ Boxing" at our club and it's decent but kind of pricy..

Thanks guys

It's probably not that great. How do you guys order your gear through NZ Boxer? See if you can find a way to get it wholesale- that's what our club has done.

The "pro" focus mitts looks like its made out of leather while the cheaper ones are made out of plastic. Leather naturally costs more and helps prolong the life of the mitts as it is more durable than plastic (i.e. won't rip as easy).

Being Australian, I've never heard of Kango but my experience with domestic brands (e.g. Punch/Sting) has not been good. I suggest you buy from overseas from sites like MMAHQ or Kochmartialarts if you're looking for good gear. It may seem expensive initially, but most good gloves would last for two years if not more. Meanwhile, cheaper alternatives (e.g. $30 Everlasts) usually die within the first half a year lol.

Also, not to sound like "that" guy but yo: Gear & Equipment Discussion - Sherdog Mixed Martial Arts Forums. Denno (a pro fighter), Xilliun and a few other Australian/NZ peeps often post there when it comes to gear related stuff.
