Ive been watching this stuff since the early 90s. Ufc 2 on tape was my first event and i havent missed a beat. From superbrawl, to pride, wec, strikeforce ive watched a lot.
but what i notice now are a bunch pansies who are watching this sport. Guys constantly wanting fights to be stopped right when a guy gets dropped. Or not wanting soccer kicks or 12-6 elbows or knees to a grounded opponent. This sport was meant to be the closest to a full fight and true purist fans should always want that.
i get that sanctioning and laws have forced the sport to a happy median as far as brutality, but a true fan should always want more pure rawness of a fight, not a watered down sport. Its become something in its own. But now im seeing stuff like, “omg he hit him 2 more times than i wanted him to before the ref stopped it”!
Anyone else notice a bunch of guys who are scared of violence watching now?
inb4, how would u like it if ur son got soccer kicked. Well i wouldnt want my son to get headkicked either.
