After Strickland's pathetic half hearted small balls to the wall fight against DDP one must ask the question "Is Sean afraid to fight Khamzat". I understand they trained together and Khamzat dominated their sparring so did Strickland intentionally dodge a bullet and will be throwing DDP to the wolf?

I have a hard time getting a read on Strickland. I love his interviews and press conferences, super entertaining. Just confused why he didn't take the Jake Paul sparring session and he does ones with other much weaker people.

No
He insulted him to create a story to get a fight with the #1 contender while he has beaten only Paulo Costa and Adesanya, both on long losing streaks

Nah. I don't think any of them are afraid of each other. I think he's just realistic about what it'd do to his career. Khamzat either wins controversial decisions after a violent first or he obliterates you quickly. Neither type of loss age well.

Tbf, Khamzat is kinda terrifying. He and poatan both have that "obviously a fighter/psycho" look to them. Even in a sport full of bad motherfuckers, there's a few that stand out head and shoulders above that.
It's nothing new, used to be guys like Wanderlei and Cro Cop.

Then you gotta consider, Sean's whole game is centered around establishing a rhythm which Khamzat would utterly refuse to concede to him.

Terrible matchup for Strickland

I think so, and he is also affraid of Robert Whittaker. When I say affraid, its not that he is scared literally, its that he knows they will be a tough fight and can potentially kick him much further down career wise.
I think Stickland would do fine against Rob, especially now. He would win a usual uneventful decision by not being hit and landing a lot of half powered punches.

No one should fight Jake Paul for free.

Perhaps, but something is weird about Strickland always wanting to beat up these bums in the gym but then when somebody who can actually give him a challenge calls him out. He stays pretty quiet.

I could be reading too much into it though? Who knows. I mean I like the guy, just wish his fights were a little more exciting though.

Fighting Jake Paul for free is fuckin stupid. He should never do it.
