Anyone remember Ross pointon from TUF season 3? He was the other English guy besides bisping.
Well he runs a gym in Stoke I think called gladiator mma. I'm not trying to discredit him or call him a fake but I've seen pictures of him teaching grappling wearing a black belt and I can't find any bjj credentials besides training with braulio estima. Now it could be that he's a blackbelt in kickboxing but why would you wear a kickboxing blackbelt with a rashguard and shorts while teaching a grappling class?

I've seen that he trained with gracie barra and became a British an European champion but nothing regarding his belt.

you do know its been more than a decade since he was on TUF?.... its possible he earned his blackbelt in that time

maybe ask him about it? instead of attempting to smear him online?

I already made the point that I'm not trying to smear him. He seems like a good guy from what I've seen.
I have actually asked but had no reply.

You know what's the best thing about pizza?

Belt level is such a random thing sometimes anyway, guys get a black belt from some no name for just sticking with it for long enough. I remember Nate Diaz being a brown belt under Cesar Gracie and tapping out a bunch of black belts in his UFC fights

I dont care,i love that guy,and if the UFC were smart they would have put him on every season of TUF. Fucking Gladiator.

If he'd been in pride, they woulda never cared how many times he lost. he'd had a job.

The ol´school BJJ masters were all mad about this trend... In the 1970s-80s, u needeed some 10 yrs to get it.. these days? 3.

The guys Nate tapped were all legit black belts. Cesar is notorious for promoting slowly.

Liked the guy. I'm sure he is legit on the ground and could be a blackbelt by now.

He could be. Its no witch hunt I was just curious.
Yeah promotion criteria really does vary

"I'm gonna smash his fuckin' face in, man, y'know what I mean?"

Pointon was indeed a gladiator, and would actually be a good fit for Bellator.

I forgot about that guy. He was a badass.

And whatever happened to Luke Cummo? The ninja mask wearing dude
