I understand everlast has been around for a long time.

I just want to know if everlast is one of those brands that noobs get cause they think its cool.

Ex.

Guy starts training mma for the first time so he shows up in a tapout shirt to train.

I'm thinking about the protex 3, cause it looks pretty good.

...There's nothing wrong with wearing a Tapout shirt.

Everlast has some great products (I believe protex 3s are one of them) and some products geared towards people who aren't as serious about training.

They're pretty expensive though, I wouldn't get them.

They are a big company. Big companies have enough resources to make products at the highest quality in the market, and the lowest.

They make awesome stuff, and some dirt stuff.

Any company can make crap products. Everlast's products that cost a decent amount are generally good products. You buy their very cheap stuff, don't expect much. I love my Everlast Protex 3s, I did however get them for free.

I have no complaints regarding Everlast. In fact, if you get their high-end shit, it will take a beating for years. I just busted a lower-end heavy bag and I've been using it to throw like a medicine ball for years.

Like everyone said, you get what you pay for. Though, don't expect to go to Walmart, pick up some gloves, and expect them to be good.

Hmmm makes a lot of sense, I bought a lonsdale glove from a "sports store" and it was completely shit, I never understood why because lonsdale was a pretty well known and respectable brand and a lot of pro fifghters use their stuff.

Now it makes perfect sense, I guess they are a large british company who make shit stuff as well as expensive stuff.

Here's what I did with my shit lonsdale gloves.

I removed the wrist patches, and coloured in the white londsdale logo on the backfist, and grafitted all over it.

Fuck yeahhh!!

Everlast has 2 catagories of products: really shitty and very good.
The really shitty is cheap and really shitty......
The very good is excellent but will cost you a lot !

my first pair of gloves were these

Everlast 7 oz. Vinyl Grappling/Training MMA Gloves from Title Boxing

altho i got them on sale @ $25 from their site, for what i paid i really can't complain, and they served their purpose well...

i was going to a run of the mill fitness gym that had a heavy bag, i started hitting it just outta boredom when i would be there at night, and one night cut my hand up pretty badly on it without realizing it...bought those and a set of hand wraps, didn't have that problem in the future

i still use them from time to time, when my teacher sets up circuits that aren't ideal for using boxing style gloves the entire time

they make great quality stuff and crap quality stuff
wide range or qualities

it's like having Banana Republic,Gap, and Old Navy clothes all under the same name let's say GAP instead of making a spinoff brand with varying degrees of quality but under the same overall ownership

I just got my leather Protex2s from TITLE today. My review will be up soon, if you check the gear section.
