Media Is combat slapping more dangerous than MMA?

Nah... in Power Slap you take 4/5 good blows...

In MMA/Boxing you take upwards to 100 blows per fight...

But it's new and different so people will have adverse knee jerk reaction and try to demonize it

If the fighters in Power Slap didn’t get slapped in the head for a living, they’d be losing brain cells just as fast or faster in other ways

It's probably just as bad for CTE, people are standing there and taking full power palm strikes to the jaw and side of the head. I imagine a full career in slap fighting will be five years, because of the full blown CTE.

The issue is in mma/boxing you can block, slip, lean, roll with punches, etc to lessen the impact and turn them into glancing blows. This is guys just standing still and taking it, it’s rare that someone gets hit clean like this in mma or boxing without getting hurt or KOed. One clean shot to the chin can do more damage than 20 punches that graze or glance off you, even with just slapping this is just going to rack up concussions for everyone involved.

It is definitely more dangerous, being forced to take uncontested, sometimes prolonged strikes to the head.

Meanwhile in MMA you can move away, block, sometimes win (or lose) a fight without taking any meaningful damage.

Prolonged trauma is often worse for the brain than one big knockout blow.

But, but, but you can defend yourself in MMA. There is a whole series of these "super necessary" videos.

I've yet to see an unconscious person receive a single blow in a slap contest. It is not uncommon to see that in MMA though.

There is a point here, but it's overshadowed by the fact that everyone in these slapping contests has to take the full blunt force of the strike without moving away. it's much less likely to knock you out compared to a closed fist strike but is still prolonged rattling of the brain.

Meanwhile in MMA, occasionally someone takes unnecessary blows, but you don't even see it in every event. Let alone every single bout like you do in a slap fight.

The fact that these guys compete in tournaments where they trade 3 blows each or until someone gets knocked out for consecutive rounds....and they do these tournaments multiple times a year? It's absurd, way worse concussion wise than Boxing or MMA in my opinion.
Do you want to be a fucking power slapper

Would you rather take a dozens 'stockton slaps' from Nate Diaz or three hook-slaps from Ngannou?
