Dana White said that with the superfight with GSP seemingly not happening just yet that Anderson Silva's next fight would be at MW.

The injury to Chris Weidman (out for up to 4 months) sort of opens things up a bit. So the question is, who stands next in line for Anderson to defend his belt against?

My picks would be:

1. Michael Bisping (if he gets past Vitor Belfort in January).
2. Tim Boetsch/Alan Belcher (whoever gets the more impressive win in December).
3. Luke Rockhold. Not sure of the severity of his injury but I could see a champion vs. champion fight.

Am I forgetting anyone? Who do you think?

If he beats Belfort I think he'll get the next shot.

So it'll probably be Weidman next.

Silva has been dodging middleweight contenders for years. I believe he takes his 1 year vacation. By which time Bisbing will have lost another close fight that could have gone either way.

I think Bisping can beat Vitor if he survives the first round storm.
And then he should get the title shot, he deserves it.

By the way, you're an idiot.
How the hell has Silva been "dodging" contenders.

If he beats Belfort I wouldnt be surprised if he got the next shot.

If Bisping puts on a career performance against Belfort, White will pin him against the Champ faster than you can say, "Dana Loves Rousey".

For sue Bisping deserves this fight, no way Weidman is next in line.
But, anything can happen, this is becoming a trend by da UFC. It's whateva fight that makes Dana's wallet fatter will happen.

Silva refused on multiple times to fight the clear number 1 contender in his weight class. Either becuase he didn't like his opponent(Sonnen), he had already beaten his opponent(Marquardt and Sonnen), He says he will take a year off from defending his belt in order to fight outside of his weight class(Bonnar....and GSP if it happens).

So before you call me an idiot do your fucking homework.

And those are just a few that I thought up on the spot real fast. Go back and look it over and I'm sure you will find other instances of where he "doesn't want to fight" an opponent.

I am frightened and speechless

He did fight Sonnen, twice.
He fought a lot of Middleweights who were considered contenders at the time (Belfort, Maia, Okami). It's not Silva's fault he makes them look unworthy of fighting him sometimes.
And he fought Bonnar to save an event, he should get credit for that, not hate.

Furthermore, if Silva doesn't want to fight somebody because he had just beaten them (Sonnen), he has every right. I personally hate rematches, although Sonnen did deserve his rematch, yes, and (if you need to be reminded) got his rematch and his ass handed to him.

Assuming he looks good in winning, then yes without doubt.

I still think Weidman will be matched with the Barbarian, once he has healed.

I think Bisping deserved a title shot before now. So if Bisping beats Belfort he almost certainly will be given a shot. But there might be an alternative, the way Edgar and Aldo happened was Edgar lost twice than got a title shot. Maybe Evans will drop down to fight Silva or the UFC has Evans rematch Bisping for a title shot?

Bisping isn't beating Vitor

Silva/Belfort II

Good!
