Is Aljamain still the BW GOAT

He was never the clear cut best fighter in the division. People act like he had some dominant run like Adesanya. It was one of the shakiest runs ever consisting of DQ win, split decisions and injury win. All time great? Sure. But that ain't no goat shit.

Arguably lost to Yan, Cejudo, and beat TJ who fought with a dislocated shoulder. He should have never even been in the discussion.

This all day. Two guys basically out of retirement, one with a serious injury and one who almost beat him lol. Not sure why he was ever in the conversation.

Dom , when healthy, smoked his competition. Aljo was nowhere close.

Dom didn't get it back, he never lost it.
Dom is one of the biggest what ifs in mma history IMO. The guy spent his best years out injured and even when he came back off injury to decision TJ, he already looked much slower then his WEC/early UFC days. His kicks basically disappeared and his explosive shots were never to be seen again.

Dom's win over TJ is underrated. The guy had one fight in 4 years, coming off a 2 year layoff to win the title off a prime, roided TJ.

Watch WEC Dom then watch any fight of Dom's post TJ comeback and it's like two different people.

He was never in the running for BW GOAT, dude was just a troll talking nonsense to market his fights.

When you add context to his run, it’s quite telling:

- Won the belt on a DQ where he was getting easily outwrestled and outstruck

- Won a controversial decision against Yan in a fight he did no damage

- Beat a one armed TJ coming off retirement and knee injuries

- squeaked by FLW Cejudo coming off retirement in a split decision

- Got faceplated by O’Malley

Good riddance

He was a dominant champion. Split decisions to Cejudo and Yan were dominant as fuck. His title reign definitely looks shakey compared to mistake other dominant Champs but that's just the skill level of BW being average.

1. He was outstriking Yan in the first fight and it was very back and forth

2. It was a dominant split decision

3. TJ was always massively overrated but it was a very easy win over a former champion

4. What do you want him to do? Cejudo was the lineal champion and never lost the belt. If he was the aggressor the whole time or fought him straight he would have got KTFO. He fought smart against a stylistic nightmare of an opponent and got the split decision
