Both the right wing and true left in the west agree on that. But the US is justified against north korea, and iran. And would also be justified against pakistan and the gulf states obviously.

The problem isnt really defeating Iran, but keeping the straight open and the oil flowing smoothly.

What? Saudi can help financially and with some man power. As can saudi allies and greater sunni world in say Egypt and UAE. Turkey wont play ball but i suspect pakistan will given its saudi connection. Indonesia etc.

This is the key thing that most Americans don't seem to get, and that blows my mind. Most Americans seem to think we enter into these agreements with tiny little 3rd world countries from a subservient position and it just blows my mind.
