interesting typing stat

It's all repetition and muscle memory. Forcing yourself to stare at the screen and type/correct until you aren't making errors. Practice.

We talking about practice.

I can type without looking at the keyboard fluently, likely 70-75 wpm. Mavis Beacon (as somebody else noted above), bless.

Young people aren't even on computers anymore. 24/7 glued to the smartphone screen, or the tablet if they're feeling fancy. They have no clue how to use computers and troubleshoot problems when they arise because apps are largely idiot-proof and they never had to. Zero tech problem solving skills like earlier gens. Can't type, can barely write with a pencil. Sad bunch of people. Literally, huge rates of mental illness on top of being useless at everything.

If I remember correctly(this was about two decades ago) there was a chameleon eating letters, good times.

hm, i vaguely remember that. i took typing in 96', so maybe my version didn't have it.

If that's true, those numbers will go down because of phones and tablets.
