Do you think he keeps going?

A similar recent scenario is Black Beast.

He was on a L streak, but is a fan fav and put on a show in his last. That, the Shael and a lot of other peeps campaigned for a re-sign and it happened.

Can the same happen for T?

Obviously, the whole "prime" thing is wolf tickets, but seeing Paddy in his "W" over Jared....

Ferguson might actually be able to win but if he loses, no one is surprised.

If he beats one of the UFC's bigger prospects, does he have the same negotiating leverage and keeps going?

Black beast losing streak wasn’t nearly as dire to me. Sure he was getting finished. But it generally seemed to be him looking for a way out when he would get tagged and shelling up. Tony wasn’t looking for ways out and just eating heavy damage and brutal finishes. That being said if Tony wins I do expect him to continue because he seems like a legit lunatic.

I would be surprised if he retires after a win...for Tony its probably "keep working up the ladder" and that was a victory towards the ultimate goal, he is going after...whatever it is

But i also wouldnt be surprised if he retires after a win...he should, imo

I think there's a point where a fighter is like "fuck it. I've lost this much...why not keep going and I need to make a living".

If y'all think he's actually fucking crazy enough to believe what he's saying about being in his prime......

If Tony wins, I think he'll want to keep going.

It's cool to see when fighters are able to go out on a win, though. Especially when they announce the retirement fight beforehand. Chris Lytle, Mark Munoz, and Robbie Lawler pulled this off well. Dan Hardy, too, but I think he intended to keep fighting before his heart diagnosis.

Heavyweight is different, they always have a bit of a shallow talent pool and you can get away with having one bomb as your main weapon. Granted, in case of the black beast, it's a good one!
But lightweight or welterweight for Tony is full of killers and the dropoff is gonna be much harder than heavyweight.
Still rooting for Tony but I don't think a win means that much in this case.

All due respect to Tony, but based on his whole persona/behaviour/etc... I wouldn't be surprised by anything.
There's a good chance that he could go on a nice Arlovski run if he's not fighting top 15 ranked fighters; but who knows?

If tony wins...hes back. CSO 2024. Three weight champ 2025. Defeats the final boss, depression, in 2026.

Uh...why is that obvious? Tony is clearly not at his best. That's literally what "prime" means. What the fuck are you talking about?

Paddy isn't a big prospect. He's a loud idiot with an entertaining style but absolutely zero potential to be champ or even come close. He's a wish.com Conor McGregor.

And Tony should have retired years ago. Someone needs to make the decision for him because otherwise it's going to be sad seeing him in a few years.

That's literally what I'm saying up there: Obviously, Tony isn't at his best despite him saying he's in his "prime".

That one particularly sucked because he looked better than ever against Amir.

man the more I think about it the less I like the idea of Paddy winning this
