It used to be 80/20 merit/entertainment.

Now it's 60/40.

Most fights and half title shots are earned.

As they say, don't throw out the baby.
 
Did you not see what happened during Mike Malott's walkout at UFC 289, Vancouver? A shitload of people fell when a railing collapsed. All he was doing was walking out and a second sooner he would've been crushed under a human pileup. Do you think these arena owners and managers know how to pull off pyrotechnics without blowing people up the fighters or the audience?

Lol, when was it better? Brock getting a title shot? Conor at LW? BJ Penn? Bisping vs Hendo and GSP? Randy Couture getting a million title shots? Nick Diaz and Chael Sonnen fighting for titles? CM Punk?
 
It's obvious at this point that the UFC is more like the WWE than a "serious" professional sports league like the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, etc.

Agreed with you TS. At least bring back the fun and the over-the-top entrances.

Uncle Dana must accept that the UFC will never be a credible sport and will always be a "show" / entertainment for adults. Time has come to embrace it
