Some great fighters, some famous but bad/old fighters, some drama and comedy, fighters can act and speak freely (to a certain degree). This is more than WWE, this has potential to become the new Pride in a few years. So refreshing.

Fighters in UFC are so afraid to say anything. It took GSP semi-retiring to even bring up crucial issues. In Bellator they can speak their mind.

I like the new Bellator too. They blend entertainment and good MMA. I'm curious to see how their new format next year will be.

I agree. I think they have a good product honestly. And Curran/Pitbull was an awesome fight.

UFC had a good card tonight too. Great night of MMA.

GSP speaks his mind and UFC starts random year round blood testing.

Will Brooks speaks his mind and doesnt even get to be real champ when Eddie leaves, doesnt get to be interim champ and doesnt even get his name first in the billing.

I have never been more happy as a fan.

Tonight was incredible.

yea, its for the best. ufc has become so watered down and sterile, it is hard to get behind guys because you have no idea what their personality is. they will make mistakes, but i like the direction so far

I love bellator plus they have two of the best fighters today in Pitbull and Dantas.

Fighters blatantly pretending to have beef with each other to sell a fight, and executing it badly, is so refreshing to you? It's cringeworthy.

And the best fight of the night by far was born out of the tourney format, plus was between two guys who were discovered and signed by Bellator pre Viacom era. In fact there have been countless classics in Bellator with the exact same circumstances. Seemingly more than their proportion comparing to other secondary organizations like WSOF surely, and even Strikeforce. The only secondary org who seemed to produce classics at a higher rate was WEC. That happens when you have a strategy geared toward acquiring quality, young, hungry 135-170 lbers as "old Bellator" did.

Give me "old Bellator" pre Viacom, and early in their run before they could put their stamp on; any day of the week.

It is refreshing. And it's not like it was about two contenders. It's part of the "folklore"... this is Japan once again.

Anyone who enjoyed that corny bullshit is not an MMA fan. Go watch professional actors in the WWE.

It would be refreshing if there was genuine beef, or at least one of them was funny like Shael and trolling on his own accord. With Rampage it wasn't so cringeworthy because at least he's kind of funny. But when two guys are struggling to play characters and read lines the suits came up with, in order to sell a fight, it's downright uncomfortable and makes a mockery of the sport. I couldn't wait until it was over. Pro wrestling is for children, and the low-level version for hillbillies.

Watered down squash matches how enthralling.

I agree, they dont have the ufc's roster but they make it up elsewhere

I hate the WWE spin. But sadly.....I could see it getting huge. With the love people had for Chael and even Bonnar before both got caught for roids....this seems to be what the fans want. Basically, people that grew up watching wrestling, still want the soap opera, but with real fights it seems.

Read about the Tito thing last night and finally watched it just now... I got second-hand embarrassment watching that shit.

the biggest fights tend to have fake beef behind them. cormier/jones is the latest example.

When people ask me what my favorite sport is and I say MMA they always say, "Oh is that like professional wrestling." And then I have to correct them and explain what it really is. But now, I guess I can just say, "Yes...yes it is very much like professional wrestling."

Bonner & Tito were so bad they insulted both MMA and professional wrestling. Dam,..... so many people wasted two minutes of their lives watching that crap! Thanks Cocker
